Chocolat Weiss Chocolate Reviews

Chocolat Weiss, a French manufacturer, has had over 100 years to perfect their technique.

Dark Chocolate with Orange Peel (67%)

11.4.05
The chocolate itself is... hmmm. One might have said, "It's too chalky!" Until one realized it was a 67%. And one didn't realize it was a 67% because it wasn't at all bitter. Overall, the chocolate flavor didn't quite pop, but it was very good. And the candied orange peel had a nice flavor that blended well with that of the chocolate. A solid, but not outstanding, creation by Weiss.
Our rating: 4.25 of 5 bon bons

Dark Chocolate (64%) with Fruit and Nuts

1.4.06
The best thing about this bar was the crunch. It had a very pleasing ratio of nuts to chocolate. The chocolate itself was good, though a little brittle and a little bitter. The fruit and nut flavor didn't really appear until halfway through the bar, and even then there wasn't much complexity to get excited about.
Our rating: 3.25 of 5 bon bons
